It's You, A Trio
Choreography & direction: Meredith Glisson
It’s You, A Trio is a work that confronts the strategies of indirect communication through dialogue, body language and positions of power. Inspired by John Cassavetes’s film Opening Night through its meta structure as a film depicting a drama within a play, I will use this film as an example of a composition that comments on itself. What are the systems of communicating and positioning that avoid being in direct contact with confrontational content?
